Evian – Facial Spray

Okay, so when I bought this, I was thinking this will be great on holiday or in Ramadan (when fasting) and your skin is so dehydrated. When I got home – I read the ingredients and it is literally a can of water. 💦

No word of a lie – just water! Ha! 🤦‍♀️

However, saying that, the reviews are good. A spray prior to makeup application promises to hydrate skin or if your skin needs refreshing during the day. It also promises to ‘fix’ your makeup so acts like a setting spray. I’m not so sure about that part!

Nikkie (the Youtuber) recently used it in one of her videos prior to makeup application. She also used it to spray her Beauty Blender. I suppose it saves you going to the sink.🚰

I’m taking it on holiday with me and I’ll update you if it is any good! ✈️

Feel free to share your experience if you have used it before. ❤️

Huda Beauty Textured Shadows or Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Modern Renaissance Palette?

To buy or not to buy? That is the question. 🤔

Both palettes are so pretty to look at and have similar colours. Those pinkish and reddish tones are stunning. 😍 Granted – those colours are not everyone’s cup of tea but I think there are so many looks that can be created using the different shades.

As you know, before I buy makeup, (majority of the time) I read reviews like crazy. To break it down, the general consensus seems to be that Huda has better colour options but ABH beats her, hands down, with the quality of her eyeshadows.

ABH has more matte shades, 11 to be precise and 3 shimmery shades. Huda has 10 matte shades, 2 pearl shades and 6 of those ‘3D Metal’ shades.

Most reviewers felt the Huda palette is more exciting in terms of variety and felt the ABH palette was somewhat uninspiring. However, there were many reviews commenting on the lack of pigmentation of Huda’s matte shades and how you are only able to apply the metal shades with your fingers. A top blogger mentioned some of the metal shades creased quite badly.

Watch this space. I’ll be making my decision soon.

Have you bought either of these palettes? Share your thoughts.

Boots Botanics – Facial Oil

Guys, I am really excited to be trying this oil. I’ve been trying to find a good moisturiser to help me with my dry skin. Ever since my second pregnancy, my skin has never got back to normal.

Just by chance I came across the reviews for this product. The majority of reviews are positive on every site I looked at. I looked at quite a few. This is double the price of what it costs in the UK but obviously, here in Qatar, we know we have to pay that little extra! Sigh. It cost me around 80 QAR – that’s around £15.

The oil is 100% organic and is a bargain even at that price. Something like this would normally set you back at least 150 QAR anywhere else. It contains Rosehip oil which is a natural source of Vitamin E that’s known to be beneficial for dry and sensitive skin. The vitamin A, combined with the oil’s essential fatty acids, can help improve skin tone, texture and pigmentation. Sounds good right?

The only flaw I can really see is that they’ve added a few fragrant plant oils and they can irritate sensitive skin.

Anyhow – I tried it on last night and I loved the feel of it on my skin. It wasn’t greasy. I felt three drops were enough to fully moisturise my face. I have these small bumps on the sides of my face that aren’t that noticeable until I apply foundation. Well, this morning they seem to have gone down and my skin looks better than it did yesterday. A lot of reviewers said they saw a difference after only using it once.

I don’t want to get too excited, as it has only been a day. I will review it after a week. I am hoping this will work! 🙏

Guess who has a new eyeshadow palette coming out? Release date is mid September.

I am loving her choice of colours – a bit of something for everyone. 👌

Brush Cleaning Mat

I was ready to buy a brush cleaning mat from Real Techniques and my sister said to check out a cheaper version on EBay. She seems to think it’s great. So here it is…I have got loads of brushes to clean when I get back to Doha. Can’t wait 🙄 – will keep you posted on the outcome. 😉

Great thing about this is that it has suction cups on the other side so you can stick this onto your sink and wash away!

Primark Brush Holders – Inglot Dupes

13912371_1629814327331594_3939822308779174563_n.jpgI’ve been looking to buy a brush holder and was looking to spend at least £15-25 (that’s around 125-150 QAR).

I’m in the UK at the moment so obviously I had to pop into Primark. 🙈I was amazed to find they had them on for £3.50 each. 😱 They are exactly the same as the Inglot ones. Makeup Forever also do a similar one.

They are great for traveling. It’s also a good way to keep your brushes away from dust on your dressing table.

What a bargain! If you’re in the UK – grab one.
