Inglot – Eye Makeup Base Review

If you’ve heard of MAC’s Paint Pot, you’ll notice this is similar. Although MAC’s Paint Pot is described as an ‘intense eye colour’, the colour ‘soft ochre’ is used by a lot of YouTubers as a base for the eyes.

Similarly, Inglot’s Eye Makeup Base needs to be applied before you apply eyeshadow. It is there to prevent creasing, intensify the eyeshadow colour and ensure longevity.

It’s a creamy consistency but dries to a powder finish. The colour is beige/nude.

There’s a trick to applying this! You only need a tiny amount, as applying more than necessary results in creasing. I always finish it off by dusting some powder over my lids to set it. I shouldn’t have to do that but I just feel it doesn’t work as well without it.

I’m not going to lie. There are better primers out there. However, that’s not to say it doesn’t do a good job. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, this is definitely one to try out.

DUO Lash Adhesive – Dark Tone Review

I prefer this over the clear lash glue if I am wearing eyeliner. It dries black and blends in with the eyeliner. The clear glue is supposed to be ‘clear’ once dry but I find it is noticeable, as I always find myself covering it with a dark eyeshadow once it’s dry.

I honestly think this is the best high-street glue out there. Affordable and easily accessible here in Doha. The only drawback is that it can take a while to get tacky (approx 30 seconds) but that’s never been a real issue for me.

It’s a staple part of my makeup kit and a product I would definitely recommend.
