I have been on the search for a good liquid eyeliner ever since I stopped buying cosmetics from MAC (another brand supporting the Israeli cause). I’ll be honest – I’m struggling to find a liner that I am happy with. I normally go for gel liners as I like their finish but I like alternating between the both.
I digress – so let’s talk about this Bourjois liner. The colour pay-off isn’t bad but it’s a huge task applying this liner perfectly. The phrase ‘a bad workman always blames his tools’ springs to mind – but I assure you that’s not the case. The brush is super thin and I’m not exaggerating. I have to keep going over the line to thicken it. It’s the thinnest brush I’ve come across.
Secondly, the formula is far too runny. It needs to be slightly thicker for better application. I found myself dipping the brush into the tube a few too many times.
And lastly, it flakes, which is so frustrating, especially in the inner corners. It claims to be sweat and tear proof but I have to disagree with that statement. Not a great liner to be wearing in this heat.
